This was my first Wedding Expo, at the Lynnwood Convention Center on January 25-26 of 2008! It was a wonderful experience to connect with new customers and showcase some of my work, and share some cake samples.

A message from the GHGH Founders:
It is our intention to “make a difference” in the lives of those suffering from this devastating disease. Our wish-granting service helps put the realities of this terminal illness aside, if just for a few days, while providing the opportunity for a family to spend quality time together. Our hope is that every metastatic breast cancer patient will be able to pass from this world comforted with the joy of having left his or her family a final beautiful memory—something the family will look back on and remember for a lifetime.
Corporate Sponsorship, businesses, family memorials and private individual sponsors are urged to help support and grant wishes. At this time our primary fundraising branch is Brides Against Breast Cancer. We accept thousands of new and used wedding gowns every year from private and corporate donors, then sell these beautiful gowns to brides at exceptional savings over retail prices.
It is the driving force of our Foundation to make a wish come true for these brave fighters. The wishes and memory-making events we bestow, allows the individual and their family the opportunity to put aside the realities of this illness, if only for a time, while basking in the joy of one another's presence. Our sincere desire is for every terminally ill breast cancer patient to pass from this world, comforted in the knowledge of having left one final beautiful memory for his or her family.

Seattle's top wedding professionals have been personally invited to exhibit their services and products with one catch-- they must donate a fantastic item for our silent auction. Together with items donated by Seattle's top businesses, we will raise money for a great cause through silent auctions, raffles, and a final, show-stopping live auction. The items up for grabs are not just limited to pre-wedding prep, day-of services, and newlyweds, there are sure to be some great goods for moms, dads, grooms, and friends!
The Founders:
It was such an honor to be asked, and to be apart of Get Hitched Give Hope. The entire event raised over $30,000 that would go directly to the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. The energy in the building was amazing, uplifting, and hopeful. It was wonderful to see a community come together and generously donate to the foundation, and also support local businesses. What a great feeling! I hope to be apart of next year's event!!
